Nissan’s luxury vehicle division said hello to South Africa back in 2012, and parted ways with Mzantsi just five short years later. For many, the failure was predictable and unsurprising, simply put down to local brand loyalty and the sheer domination of Toyota’s Land Cruiser and Lexus SUVs.
Despite the tough competition, Infiniti did manage to market its luxury range to plenty of South Africans, and there are still several models available on the pre-owned market.
These include the G37 cabriolet, the Q70 executive sedan, and a selection of SUVs including the QX70 and FX30, all of which are still serviced and supported by South Africa’s network of Nissan dealers.
