Since its introduction to South Africa more than 100 years ago, Peugeot has remained a respected and admired automobile brand, despite enjoying a relatively small share of the local market.
The Peugeot brand has been around for more than 200 years in some shape or form, but since beginning automobile production in 1889, it hasn’t looked back. The company relaunched itself locally in 2019 after Citroen’s departure, and now offers a relatively diverse range of vehicles.
Its hatchback offerings are the 108 and 208, while buyers with bigger needs will find the 2008, 3008, and 5008 SUVs more appealing. Peugeot’s styling has remained as avant-garde as ever, not shying away from its French flair.
Peugeot also offers the Partner and Boxer panel vans, which have proven quite popular with small business owners around South Africa.
